This excerpt from the Readiness and Emergency Management for Schools (REMS) grant proposal is the needs analysis and vulnerability assessment portion of the proposal.

This is a sample from an electronic emergency response toolkit that I designed and developed for the Hemet Unified School District. This toolkit is an electronic, portable application for the swift delivery of documents, forms, and checklists needed by staff responders during an emergency. The toolkit was based on, and compliant with, the Incident Command System, which is a standardized approach to command, control, and response to emergency situations.

This flipchart was designed to fit into emergency supply boxes in classrooms, conference rooms, and other locations within schools. Each page of the flipchart provided instructions on what to do in case of certain types of events such as earthquake, wildfire, or bomb threat.
